RAMALLAH, June 11 (KUNA) -- More than 28 Palestinians were detained during
an Israeli incursion executed on early Wednesday in the West Bank.
Israeli troops stormed Nablus, Balata refugee camp, and Jenin as well as
Al-Khalil (Hebron) and Tulkarem, Palestinian sources said.
Israeli radio claimed that the detainees were among the Israeli security
authorities' wanted, noting that they are currently being interrogated.
Meanwhile, Palestinian medical sources said that Israel decided to stop
searching for Palestinian activists who were among the wanted list since
Al-Aqsa Intifada.
An agreement signed by the Palestinian and Israeli authorities stated that
Israel is no longer seeking to arrest activists affiliated with Fatah's Aqsa
Martyrs Brigades in return for giving up their arms to Palestinian security
and serving some time in a Palestinian prison.(end)
