BAGHDAD, June 7 (KUNA) -- The death toll of the two booby-trapped car
explosions in Baghdad jumped to five and 22 others injured, said a medical
source on Saturday.
The source in Yarmouk hospital which preferred anonymity told KUNA that the
hospital's emergency room has received the dead bodies of two Iraqi policemen
in addition to seven injured people, including some policemen.
Spokesman of Baghdad Operations Command Major General Qasim Atta said that
one of the booby-trapped cars was driven by an unknown man and suddenly
exploded in the area of Al-Nisour near in Yarmouk area at 4 p.m. local time.
The second explosion which occurred near a building for the Iraqi Ministry
of Industry in the Rusafa area in Baghdad, led to the death of three people,
and the injury of 15 others.
Meanwhile, a mass grave was discovered in the Wehda area southern Baghdad.
A security source stated that the mass grave was discovered in a camp for
the former Saddam regime's army. (pickup previous)
