IRBIL, May 23 (KUNA) -- An Iraq civilian was killed and five people were
wounded, including two soldiers, in two different incidents in the northern
city of Kirkuk, a source said on Friday.
A Kirkuk police source told KUNA that an explosive device exploded this
morning in one of the villages in Huwaija district, south of Kirkuk, killing a
civilian and wounding three others.
Moreover, the source said unknown militants opened fire last night at a car
in which two Iraqi soldiers were traveling near Hasriya village, south of
Kirkuk, wounding them both seriously.
The same source added that Iraqi police, backed by coalition forces,
executed search operations late last night and into the early hours of the
morning in Kirkuk's southern Orouba district, arresting 13 wanted individuals.
