KUWAIT, May 13 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Saad
Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, one of Kuwait's most devoted sons, will be laid
for final resting place on Wednesday after passing away Tuesday.
With the death of His Highness Sheikh Saad, Kuwait will have lost one of
her wise men who had devoted his life for the service of homeland and people.
HH Sheikh Saad has also been praised by everyone for his unstinting
devotion and dedication for the best interest of Kuwait's prosperity in all
spheres in which he had assumed and in every international forums and
conventions.
The deceased had left a clear imprint in each place he had served in, and
had a big role in building security and military institutions as well as
drawing Kuwait's foreign policy.
HH Sheikh Saad has also been praised by all for his tremendous efforts
during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in August 2, 1990 and his infinite support
to all Kuwaitis during the harsh seven months of occupation until the country
was liberated in February 1991.
He had personally supervised the country's resconstruction during the
hardest ever calamities witnessed by the state of Kuwait.
HH Sheikh Saad and during the rule of late Amir HH Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad
Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the rest of ruling family members and senior officials
had been able to carry out a reconstruction plan for the country in a record
time where all aspects of life had returned to normal.
And in spite of his ailing health conditions, Sheikh Saad had been pursuing
everything related to the homeland to which he was dedicated to serve for the
best interest of citizens whome he had adored.
Finally, the history will continue to remember His Highness late Father
Amir Sheikh Saad and will be immortalized in the hearts and consciences of all
Kuwaitis because of his distinguished parental qualities, merits and modesty.
