LTTE guns down 2 security personnel; S Lankan Air Force attacks rebel

targets NEW DELHI, March 26 (KUNA) -- The outlawed Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Wednesday killed two security personnel in Eastern Sri Lanka, even as the country's air force targetted rebel bases.
Two Sri Lankan Special Task Force (STF) personnel were killed and two injured in a claymore mine blast triggered by the LTTE in the Kokkaddicholai area in Batticaloa district today, news agency Indo Asian News Service reported.
Previously, Kokkaddicholai was the LTTE headquarters. But they were driven out last year by the Sri Lankan Army.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan Air Force today attacked LTTE targets in the Giant Tank area in the countrys Mannar district and also claimed to have destroyed a rebel boat building facility in Mullaitivu, the news agency said. (end) dr.bz.
