GAZA, March 2 (KUNA) -- Israeli Army spokesman announced on Sunday that a
number of Palestinian missiles attacked the Israeli settlement of Sderot,
eastern Gaza Strip.
The spokesman told local radio that the missile explosions caused material
damages to nearby houses as well as injuring residents.
Civil defense cars, ambulances and medical staff arrived swiftly to the
town and treated the injuries on the scene.
Meanwhile, Eziddin Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas said
that their operatives fired this morning a couple of missiles targeting the
Israeli town of Sedort, in the third attack of its kind in 30 minutes.
The brigades also stated that they launched six missiles targeting the same
settlement in three separated attacks, despite intensive Israeli air cover.
The brigades also launched earlier two "Qassam" missiles targeting the
Israeli settlement of Muftahim near Gaza Strip.
Palestinian medical sources said that their staff found the corpses of two
Palestinian girls who were killed in yesterday's Israeli air raid. (end)
