BAGHDAD, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Accord Front Chief Adnan al-Deleimy on
Thursday accused Iraqi security forces of barring the Iranian ambassador in
Baghdad from visiting him at the latter's residence in western Baghdad.
Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) here, Deleimy said, "An Iraqi force
stationed near my house prevented Iranian Ambassador Hassan Kazmi from
entering my residence."
"Kazmi is the ambassador of a friendly neighbor country, who wanted to come
for talks on s achieving security in the country and reinforcing relations
between both nations in order to ease out disgruntlement triggered by the
political crisis," he said.
However, he attributed the Iraqi security move to efforts to impede
national reconciliation in the country, condemning it as "surprising and
unprovoked".
In December 2007, Iraqi security forced found two bomb cars near the
headquarters of the People of Iraq Conference, led by Deleimy, promoting
stricter security measures. (end)
