OPEC summit final statement expected to include 36 articles covering axes

of conference RIYADH, Nov 17 (KUNA) -- Final statement of the Third OPEC summit, to start here later this evening, is expected to include 36 articles covering the conference's three axes, Providing petroleum, Promoting Prosperity and Protecting the Planet.
Sources close to the conference told KUNA that the final statement was endorsed during the member countries' ministerial meeting here yesterday that grouped ministers of foreign affairs, oil and finance.
The sources said the final statement expected to include 15 articles on the organization's efforts on Providing Petroleum and guaranteeing oil supply, seven articles on Promoting Prosperity and eradication of world poverty, and 14 articles on Protecting the Planet and environment.
According to the sources, the final statement puts focus on security of oil supply, market stability and curbing price fluctuations.
It also highlights the group's efforts to eradicate poverty and back up less developed countries, the sources elaborated.
The final statement outlines 14 articles concerning OPEC's efforts to curb negative impacts in the oil energy industry and protection of the environment, the sources said.(end) kt.ajs KUNA 171828 Nov 07NNNN
