Iran calls for US military pullout from Iraq

TEHRAN, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- Iran called Tuesday for a US military pullout from Iraq as it would serve the interests of alls sides, including the US.
While receiving head of Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC) Abdul-ziz Al-Hakim, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadnejad said the "presence of occupying forces" in Iraq was a main element in lack of security and stability over there.
Their withdrawal will not only serve Iraqis, it will also benefit the US, he noted.
Ahmadinajed said he was quite pleased with overall developments in Iraq, wishing that nation further success.
On his part, Al-Hakim outlined developments in Iraq, especially in political, security and economic affairs, expressing gratitude for Iran's supportive stance.(end) mw.ff.ayh KUNA 131834 Nov 07NNNN
