IRBIL, Oct 5 (KUNA) -- Security forces arrested three Al-Qaeda operatives
in Sulaimaniya in northern Iraq, while an Iraqi court in Kirkuk slammed a
death sentence against four civilians including a woman charged with terrorism.
A statement by the security department said Friday the security forces
arrested three Al-Qaeda members, who were reportedly fleeing from the
governorate of Diyala.
The arrestees are accused of carrying out assassinations, abductions and
bombings, said the statement and noted that they confessed their deeds.
Meanwhile, a criminal court in Kirkuk condemned to death four civilians for
carrying out terrorist acts. (end)
