NEW DELHI, Sept 15 (KUNA) -- Indian and Bangladeshi governments are holding
talks on the fight against terrorist activities, Indian National Security
Advisor M. K. Narayanan said here Saturday.
The outcomes of the ongoing talks between India and Bangladesh are to be
made public soon, Narayanan told a news conference in Hyderabad, the capital
of Andhra Pradesh.
Hyderabad is a key target for terrorists, he added.
Although Indian intelligence agencies had received information on bomb
explosions on May 18 and August 25, they failed to reach the explosion sites
or identify the terrorist group which carried out the blasts, he said.
Over 50 people were killed in a couple of blasts in Hyderabad in May and
August.
The Indian national security advisor voiced anxiety over increasing
organized crimes, money laundering, counterfeiting and social tension in the
country. (end)
