GAZA, July 27 (KUNA) -- Two Al-Qassam missiles were launched from the
northern Gaza Strip Friday evening on southern Israel, a military spokesman
said. One of the missiles caused damage to houses.
The Palestinian militants fired one Al-Qassam rocket into the western
Negev, east of Gaza, Friday evening, while an earlier one had landed in
Ashkelon, the spokesman told Radio Israel.
The first rocket fell on an open field in Ashkelon's southern industrial
zone and sparked a fire in the field, but no one was injured and no damage was
caused.
As for the second rocket, it landed in a western Negev community and
damaged many homes but no one was injured.
According to the spokesman, at least seven rockets have been fired from the
Strip into Israel since Thursday. One of them struck a home in the western
Negev city of Sderot but no injuries or damages were reported. (end)
