Six Iraqi police killed; discovery of 11 dead bodies north of Iraq

IRBIL, July 21 (KUNA) -- Six police officers were killed and two were injured when an improvised bomb exploded near a police patrol vehicle, while separately police discovered 11 dead bodies in different parts of Mosul, an Iraqi police source said on Saturday.
The source said the improvised bomb exploded targeting a police patrol in Hajar valley in Mosul.
Police patrols also discovered 11 dead bodies in different parts of Mosul, the source added.
Meanwhile in Kirkuk, Iraqi police Director of Al-aqdayia Brigadier Sarhad Qader said today that a dead body was used as a booby trap to kill two police officers west of Kirkuk.
Qader said police received information of a dead body stretched out in one of Kirkuk's roads close to Koba village, adding that police immediately rushed to the scene and while they were carrying the dead body it exploded killing instantly two patrol officers and injuring two others.
