ISLAMABAD, June 18 (KUNA) A roadside bomb explosion Monday in
northwestern Pakistan wounded at least five persons including a government
official, said police.
A remote-controlled bomb exploded near a Jeep car on the main road of Khar
area in Bajaur tribal agency, bordering Afghanistan, police sources told KUNA.
They said the explosion wounded five persons including a local government
official, his driver and two bodyguards.
Authorities did not blame any group for the explosion but sources said the
official was clearly the target and suspected local Taliban militants hand.
