BAGHDAD, June 12 (KUNA) -- Three Iraqi policemen were killed when a suicide
car bomb exploded on Tuesday in Al-Anbar province west of Baghdad, Iraqi
police said.
The car bomb attack also injured 15 people who were transferred to nearby
hospital, police said.
Meanwhile, the Institute of Iraqi Muslim Scholars said today that two of
its bodyguards were kidnapped in Diyali governorate north east of Baghdad.
Armed men raided the institute in Ba'qouba and kidnapped the two
bodyguards, a statement by the institute said.
On another front, the US military said that its forces have captured 11
terrorists, among them three high ranking commanders from Al-Qaeda in Baghdad.
In a statement by the US military, it said that the capture resulted after
a raid operation carried out in southwest Baghdad.(end)
