Algerian court sentences terrorist to death ALGIERS, April 23 (KUNA) -- An Algerian court has sentenced a 33-year terrorist to capital punishment for involvement in murder and linking to a terrorist group in Tlemcen Province.
The terrorist was arrested on July 28th, 2006 in possession of a Kalashnikov, 43 bullets, an improvised grenade and a first-aid bag, an Algerian judicial source was quoted as saying here Monday.
During the investigation, the terrorist admitted that he was instructed by the terrorist group's leader in Tlemcen Province to carry out terrorist activities, including the assassination of several Algerian security officers and civilians, abduction and raping of women and seizure of private property.
Having capitalized on such weighty information snatched from the terrorist, Algerian security forces managed to discover several hideouts and hunt terrorist elements in the western side of Algeria.
