Iran signs USD 30 billion deal with Austrian gas company VIENNA, April 23 (KUNA) -- An Austrian gas company signed a USD 30 billion agreement with Iran, one of the most major contracts ever worked out between Tehran and a foreign company in this field.
According to the agreement, the company, the OMV, will develop an Iranian gas well in a venture due to finish in 25 years and will be a major step towards exporting Iranian gas to Europe, Austria Press Agency reported Monday.
However, the Austrian company issued a press release in which it said the agreement with Iran was not finalized yet.
Meanwhile, an Austrian magazine revealed Monday that Austrian banks are facing US pressures because of their relations with Iran.
