US army in Iraq arrests militants in Qaeda raids
BAGHDAD, April 9 (KUNA) -- The US Army reported Monday its forces arrested
14 militants in a number of raid operations targeting Al-Qaeda organization in
Iraq.
A US Army statement today said the forces arrested five militants in raids
targeting foreign fighters in Baiji, northern Baghdad.
They also arrested seven militants in two different operations in
Al-Tarmiya, north Baghdad.
Two other militants tied to a cell specialized in car bombings and planning
of attacks on Iraqi police and coalition forces were also arrested, it was
