Five bomb explosions in N. Pakistan wound over 20
ISLAMABAD, April 8 (KUNA) -- More than 20 persons were wounded when five
bombs exploded at a gathering in a northern Pakistani town Sunday night, said
police.
Unknown militants hurled five hand grenades at a gathering in Dera Ismail
Khan tribal town, police sources told KUNA.
They said hundreds of people had gathered to mark the death anniversary of
a Saint.
Sources said explosions wounded more than 20 persons, seven of them
critically.
They said that security personnel deployed at the site managed to arrest
one militant while two managed to flee. (end)
