Death of one of al-Qaeda leaders in Baghdad BAGHDAD, April 7 (KUNA) -- Iraqi security forces recognized the body of one Al-Qaeda leaders, Abu-Bara'a Al-libi (the Libyan), here on Saturday in western Baghdad," an official spokesperson said.
The spokesman of the "law enforcement plan," Brigadier Qassim Attala added that Al-libi was one of the prominent leaders in Al-Qaeda Organization in Iraq.
Attala kept the nationality of Abu-Bara'a Al-libi unrevealed, noting that he was killed during a search operation.
The US Army said in a statement that a terrorist was killed and three suspected terrorists were detained during an assault by Coalition Forces, pointing out that the man who was killed was a local cell leader in charge of approximately 40-50 men. Furthermore, the Coalition Forces said in a statement that they have captured four suspected terrorists in connection with al-Qaeda in Iraq.
