Society    10/13/2009 4:58:00 PM

(With photos) KUWAIT, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Diving Team on Tuesday said it managed to lift up a 27-foot-long and 2-ton-heavy sunken boat at Ras al-Ardh docking facilities.
Air bags and belts, as well as water pumps and special divining gear were used in the process, a statement by the team said.
The operation comes out of the team's keenness to protect marine environment, as the boat was loaded with significant quantities of fuel, it added.
The Kuwaiti Diving Team is founded by a group of volunteers acting out of their social responsibility towards a better and cleaner marine environment. (end) ka.hb KUNA 131658 Oct 09NNNN
