KUWAIT, July 31 (KUNA) -- 1986 -- The Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, issued an Amiri Decree to dissolve the Municipal Council.
1990 -- Saudi Arabia hosted Kuwait's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and Iraq's Deputy Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Ezzet Ibrahim in Jeddah to contain the dispute ignited by Iraq when it accused Kuwait of stealing its oil. Iraq abandoned talks two hours after commencement.
1994 -- The Cabinet approved amendment of the first article of the civil law to conform to Islamic jurisprudence provisions.
2006 -- The National Assembly approved, in an extraordinary session, the draft law on the Amiri grant of KD 200 for every citizen. (end) gta
