1970 -- Official Kuwaiti population statistics reach 345,898 people.
1980 -- The opening of International Development on capital markets conference in Kuwait and GCC countries, and opening of first Zakat Conference in Kuwait.
1994 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issues Amiri decree number 52 approving the inception of Kuwait National Library.
1998 -- The demise of late Hamad Abdulmehsin Al-Meshari, 92yrs, one of Kuwait national figures.
1999 -- Kuwait ranks number one in the world of Fencing for the Disabled, specifically in the Epee Fencing. 2002 -- Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs approve decision of establishing Al-Orwah Al-Wethqa charity organization.
