KUWAIT, Dec 29 (KUNA) -- 1958 -- Iraq requested the opening of a consulate in Kuwait to oversee the affairs of Iraqis living and working in the country, and to act as a link between the two countries.
1963 -- An Amiri decree was issued establishing Kuwait Food Company (Americana) with a capital of KD one million.
1999 -- The Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued a law pertaining to intellectual property rights.
1999 -- The Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued a law pertaining to measures taken against vessels violating resolutions of the UN Security Council.
2002 -- Kuwait and Japan signed four agreements determining relations between the State of Kuwait and the Arabian Oil Company over naval operations in the divided zone until after January 2003.
2003 -- Takaful National Insurance Company is established with a declared capital of KD 10 million. The company provides Islamic insurance and investment services.
2004 -- The Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued a decree licensing the establishment of Boxhill College for girls.
2010 -- National Assembly approved law allowing military men to wear a beard, in addition to approving housing and loans law for Kuwaiti women. (end) hb
