KUWAIT, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- 1976 -- A draft law was issued relieving Arab and foreign aviation companies with flights to Kuwait of taxes, provided countries of these airlines treat Kuwaiti companies similarly.
1990 -- The Security Council issued resolution 678 obliging Iraq to comply with all relevant UN resolutions and stipulating that force would be used if Iraq failed to withdraw from Kuwait by January 15, 1991.
1992 -- The International Investor Company for Islamic Investments was established.
1993 -- Kuwait and Russia signed an agreement for security cooperation.
2004 -- Kuwait and Japan signed a cooperation protocol for rehabilitation of Kuwait Bay at a cost of 1.5 billion yen.
2006 -- In its' final communique, the Europe and Arab conference in Kuwait decided to allocate the Sheikha Amthal Al-Sabah award to the best project or study connected with the environment.
2008 -- Pioneering Kuwaiti Musician Khaled Al-Za'yed passed away at age 65.
2010 -- The Sixth MEED Kuwait Projects 2010 conference began offering USD 200 billion in opportunities at the Kuwaiti projects market. (end) gta
