1961 -- An Amiri decree was issued during the era of the late Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah number 22/1961, stipulating that elections of the Constituent Assembly are to be held as a prelude to drafting the National Constitution, on basis of principles of democracy.
1965 -- First Sudanese Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Mahjoub Makkawi Baker, presented his credentials to then Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
1974 -- The Deputy Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued an Amiri Decree to establish the Higher Petroleum Council.
1992 -- United Nations Security Council (UNSC) welcomed decisions of the border demarcation commission on drawing the borders between Kuwait and Iraq.
2000 -- Mutlaq Al-Shlaimi passed away at the age of 60. He was Member of Parliament in 1981, and member of the National Council in 1990, in addition to head of Al-Nassr sports club.
2001 -- Kuwaiti figure, Ibrahim Mohammad Al-Mijbil, a famous businessman known for his generosity, passed away at the age of 81.
2010 -- KFAED provided loan worth KD four million to Zambia to help in construction of highway leading to broder with Angola.
2013 -- Japanese PM Shinzo Abe arrived in Kuwait, signed several memos. (end) gta
