1952 -- The national cultural club was established.
1961 -- Kuwait Investment Company was established, with a KD 15 million capital, to deal with investment activities at the local and international levels.
1962 -- Algerian activist Jamila Buhraid visited Kuwait, where she was warmly greeted in appreciation for her leading role in the struggle against colonization. The visit is to manifest gratitude for the people of Kuwait who supported Algeria against French colonization.
1985 -- Iran seized Kuwaiti cargo ship Ibn Baitar.
2001 -- The Cabinet endorsed the project of establishing the "technology village," that encompasses ventures for water management, biotechnology and fuel cells.
2002 -- The Higher Council for Education approved new school system 5/4/3 to be implemented in the school year 2004/2005.
2005 -- Ahmadi Refinery of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) launched its new gasoline station for trucks at a capacity of three million liters per day.
2008 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued decree 31/2008 on the pre-marriage medical test.
2010 -- Kuwait donated USD 500,000 to the World Health Organization (WHO) to aid poor states.
2010 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) handed a loan worth KD 12 million to Pakistan. The sum was used to develop electrical infrastructure in Pakistan.
2013 -- Kuwait provided USD 177 million loan to fund 12 development project Guinea.
2014 -- Kuwait donated USD one million and euro 117,000 to help construct Islamic facilities in the US and Poland respectively. (end) mb
