1960 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issued Decree No. 9 regulating tasks of "mukhtars" (mayors).
1963 -- The Kuwait Bar Association was proclaimed for regulating the profession, ensuring lawyers' sound performance, their interests and rights.
1991 -- Kuwaiti banks re-opened to resume usual work after the country's liberation from Iraqi occupation.
1991 -- Fourth edition of the Kuwaiti currency was issued following liberation from the Iraqi occupation. Banknotes were identical to those of the third edition, except for colors that greatly differed.
1995 -- Kuwait and China signed a military treaty, aimed at boosting military cooperation between the two countries. Minister of Defense Sheikh Ahmad Al-Humoud Al-Sabah signed the accord in Beijing.
2010 -- Kuwait and Bulgaria signed an agreement for technical and economic cooperation.
2015 -- New multiple sclerosis medicine released in Kuwait, the first country in the Middle East region to obtain the remedy. (end) gta
