KUWAIT, April 23 (KUNA) -- 1841 -- Kuwait signed its first marine agreement with Britain.
1959 -- His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem al-Sabah, issued a decree for real estate registration.
1975 -- His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, issued law 6/1975 for the ratification of an agreement over the establishment of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), aimed at boosting the economic and social development of the member states and Islamic societies according to the Islamic Sharia laws.
1979 -- Kuwait cut diplomatic relations with Cairo and joined Arab countries in economically boycotting Egypt after its signing of Camp David Treaty.
1985 -- Assassination attempt made against Chief Editor of Al-Seyassah daily, Ahmed Al-Jarrallah.
2000 -- Al-Arabi Football Team wins the Amir's 38th Cup after claiming victory in the match against Al-Tadhamun.
2001 -- Al-Salmiya Football Team wins the Amir's 39th Cup after claiming victory in the match against Kazma 2-0.
2007 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued law 10/2007 on freedom of and right to competition in trade and economic activity.
2007 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued law 11/2007 on right to social and overall care for national senior citizens.
2007 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued law 14/2007 on approval of the agreement on foundation of the "International Islamic Trade Finance Cooperation", which was signed in Kuwait in 2006.
