KUWAIT, Aug 22 (KUNA) -- 1967 -- President Abdulrahman Aref was Iraq's first leader to visit Kuwait.
1995 -- The National Assembly endorsed a draft law on trial of ministers in its final form.
1995 -- The State of Kuwait established diplomatic ties at the Ambassadorial level with Barbados.
2001 -- Kuwait deposited USD 92.5 million in the Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds Intifadha (uprising) Funds at the Islamic Development Bank. That was Kuwait's last installment of a USD 150 million contribution.
2011 -- His Highness Amir received Kuwaiti inventors Sadeq Ahmed Qasem, Abdullah Abdulaziz Murad, and Abdullah Mohammad Abu Qasem, whom have claimed first place gold medals in international competitions.
2011 -- Kuwait Science club approved 80 inventions from 22 Arab and foreign countries, to participate in the 4th International Invention Fair in Middle East sponsored by His Highness the Amir.(end) gta
