1954 -- Kuwait's Higher Executive Committee formed the State Audit Bureau, aimed at protecting and safeguarding public funds to prevent embezzlement or fraud.
1978 -- Property renting law passed by late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
1981 -- The Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah adopted law for Kuwait's approval of the statute of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
2000 -- The Crown Prince and Prime Minister the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdallah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, inaugurated his own Diwan at Sief Palace. The Cabinet, the next day, decided to shift its general sectretariat from Bayan Palace to Seif Palace.
2002 -- Ministry of Electricity and Water announced a record 7,250 MW daily usage of electricity at 02:45 p.m. local-time. The number is huge when taking into account the population.
