KUWAIT, Aug 21 (KUNA) -- 1990 -- Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak calls on Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to withdraw Iraqi forces from Kuwaiti territories in an initiative aimed at saving Arab unity.
1990 -- Information Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah issues an order to set up a Kuwaiti media center in Cairo, aimed at highlighting the plight of Kuwaitis after the invasion of the Gulf state by Iraqi forces.
1990 -- European Union members reject an Iraqi warning to close all foreign embassies in Kuwait, said that embassies of the 12 countries representing the EU will remain open. The US State Department and Russia announced their diplomatic missions will also remain in Kuwait.
1996 -- Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, issues law approving a cooperation agreement between Kuwait and the UN Commission for Refugee Affairs.
2003 -- Kuwait Ports Authority cancel all fees.
2005 -- The Petroleum Development Company was founded to oversee all activities of foreign oil companies operating in Kuwait and state revenues involved. The company is set at capital of KD 300 million over 300 million shares at KD one each.
2006 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issues decree regulating governorates.
2006 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issues a decree establishing the Central Agency for Information Technology tasked with implementing the country's e-government plan.
