KUWAIT, Dec 19 (KUNA) -- 1955 -- Al-Sharqiah Cinema Theater was opened at a location close to the Amiri Hospital.
1960 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah ordered amendment of the law number 26 of 1961 concerning the National Flag.
1963 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem ordered formation of the Higher Defense Council.
1980 -- The Kuwaiti society for wireless communication amateurs was established.
1990 -- The Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah visited the Free Kuwait School in Taif, Saudi Arabia for Kuwaiti children studying in kindergarten, elementary, and intermediary levels. During his visit, Sheikh Saad informs the children that Kuwait shall soon be liberated.
2003 -- Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) launched its internet services.
2004 -- Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Bader Al-Humaidi inaugurated the KD 34 million project aimed at providing treated waste water for irrigation at Abdali farms.
2006 -- The "Al-Rai" daily of Jassem Al-Marzouq was issued. At the same day, "Al-Rai Al-Aam" of Abdel Aziz Al-Musaeed stops publishing.
2007 -- The Minister of health Ali Al-Barrak opened Shaikha Al-Ibrahim health centre that serves 14 thousand citizens of "Nezha" area residents, containing four clinics of family medicine, diabetes, heart and arteries diseases, and pacemaker examinitation. (end) gta
