1960 -- Kuwait Municipality divides South Shuwaikh into 32 residential plots, which are distributed to citizens.
1962 -- Houses in Kuwait City receive drinking water after the completion of Roudtain project.
1964 -- Mabanee Co. is established for the construction of prefabricated housing units and other forms of construction.
2000 -- Demise of former MP Mohammad Hamad Al-Barrak at 70. Al-Barrak was a fourth constituency lawmaker in the first National Assembly legislative council of 1963.
2001 -- Ministry of Interior inaugurates the DNA identification laboratory at the public authority for penal investigation - the first of its kind in the Middle East at the time.
2001 -- Kuwaiti Olympic Committee signs, with both the Qatari Olympic Committee and Bahrain's Public Authority for Youth and Sports, a memorandum of understanding allowing Gulf players to play in any of the three GCC countries with the status of citizen of that country.
2008 -- George Washington University grants His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah its presidential medal, in honor of the Kuwaiti official's services to his country and people.
2012 -- Kuwait handed the E-Government Shield award for the best official websites' interactive platform with social networking sites. (end) sd
