KUWAIT, April 18 (KUNA) -- 1968 -- Shuaiba refinery goes into actual operation.
1972 -- Late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issues a decree on approving Kuwait's joining an agreement on capitals tranfer among Arab League states.
1983 -- Late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued a decree on combating narcotics and limiting their usage for medical purposes.
2000 -- National Assembly approves a law on supporting national manpower to work in the private sector.
2001 -- Abdulrazzaq Khaled Zaid Al-Khalid passed away. He was 71. He was elected a member of parliament in the first National Assembly in 1963.
2004 -- Women Sports Club was ranked first in the 2nd Gulf Table Tennis tourney in Bahrain.
2005 -- National Assembly approves a law on amending some provisions of the housing care services.
2010 -- The 10th camel racing tournament kicks off under the auspices of His Highness the Amir with Gulf and Arab participation.
