KUWAIT, July 7 (KUNA) -- 1964 -- Decree number 30/1964 was issued on the establishment of the Audit Bureau, tasked with monitoring state revenues and expenditures according to the state's public budget and preventing irregularities.
1965 -- Kuwait and Saudi Arabia signed an agreement regarding the neutral zone, diving the area equally between the two countries.
1969 -- Decree number 32/1969 was issued pertaining on regulation of commercial stores' activities, requiring that all businesses obtain licensing from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
1973 -- An Amiri decree was issued establishing the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) to conduct research activities in the fields of industry, oil, and food.
1976 -- Decree number 49/1976 was issued approving the agreement for the establishment of the Arab Petroleum Services Company, signed in 1975 with OPEC members.
1980 -- Amiri decree 59/1980 was issued approving Kuwait's joining of the special agreement to establish the permanent committee for communication in the Gulf area.
1984 -- Late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued decree 51/1984 for family laws.
2001 -- Kuwait bags 11 gold trophies, four silver, four bronze, and a creativity award in the field of radio and television, songs, and advertisement at Cairo's seventh radio and television festival.
2003 -- The Health Ministry inaugurated the medical insurance center project aimed at facilitating the issuance of medical insurance cards.
