KUWAIT, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- 1976 -- Decree 70 of 1976 was issued to establish Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), aimed at supplying media institutions and the public with objective news and promoting Kuwait's just causes at both regional and international levels.
1994 -- The Iraqi regime massed up troops along the borders with Kuwait in an attempt to repeat the crisis it triggered on August 2, 1990.
2001 -- Ambassador of Kuwait to the Republic of Nicaragua Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled Al-Sabah received the Freedom Medal from Nicaragua's National Council.
2010 -- Lawyer and press figure Mohammad Musa'ad Al-Saleh passed away at age 75. Al-Saleh was editor-in-chief of Al-Watan newspaper in 1974 and Al-Hadaf magazine in 1961. He won the Dubai Arab press award and also wrote a column in Al-Qabas newspaper. (end) rk
