GAZA, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian teenager was martyred by the Israeli occupation army, south of the Gaza Strip, said Palestinian Health Ministry on Wednesday.
Mo'men Abu Iyada, 15, was injured seriously by the Israeli forces in Rafah, south of the Strip, the ministry's spokesman Ashraf Al-Qedra said in a press statement.
Abu Iyada has passed away due to the injury, Al-Qedra added, noting that 13 Palestinians were wounded in central Gaza.
Five of them were injured by live ammunition, he pointed out.
The eastern borders of the Strip have been witnessing demonstrations at night along with the border fence, calling for breaking the Israeli blockade imposed on the Strip.
These demonstrations are part of the Great March of Return protests, which were launched on March 30. (end) wab.hm
