KUWAIT, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait International Airport authorities have aborted an attempt to smuggle an amount of heroin into the country, Director General of the General Administration of Customs Jamal Al-Jalawi said Saturday.
This morning, customs officials suspected an Asian expat arriving at the airport, as he looked so worried and not at ease while his luggage was passing through the scanning machines, Al-Jalawi added.
The customs men searched the baggage to find 2.6 kg of "pure heroin," he noted.
The administration applies an obvious strategy and a well-knitted plan to thwart smuggle attempts into the country, Al-Jalawi stressed. (end) km.msa
