CAIRO, June 12 (KUNA) -- The Arab commission for following up on implementing sustainable development objectives (2030) held its second meeting on Monday under Algeria's chairmanship.
Dr. Nada Al-Ajizi, director of sustainable development and international cooperation at the Arab League, said in a statement the two-day meeting addresses a number of topics, approved by the Arab Economic-Social Council, including the guiding framework for backing up the sustainable development scheme 2030.
Al-Ajzi said the framework includes principles and guidelines as well as challenges facing the Arab States in attaining sustainable development, namely the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.
Kuwait is represented at the meeting by Anwar Al-Zaid, representative of the general secretariat of the supreme council for planning and development. (end) mfm.rk
