AMMAN, May 29 (KUNA) -- Damascus Governor Becher Al-Sabban declared on Monday pullout's conclusion of gunmen, their families and some civilians from Barzeh district in the Syrian capital.
The governor said in a statement broadcast by the official news agency, SANA, that the final batch of persons, totaling 1,012 and including 455 gunmen, left the district.
The relocated headed for Damascus' northern countryside, according to an agreement between the government and some opposition groups. The government had worked out identical accords with the opposition in several other regions. Many of the displaced had settled in the northern province Idlib. (end) tk.rk
