AMMAN, April 21 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Al-Najat Society sponsored Friday 1,300 Syrian and Jordanian orphans in various Jordanian governorates. Manager of the orphan's home department at the society Mohammad Al-Khaldi told KUNA that giving the aid came in cooperation with the Benevolent Society of Jordan, where it aims to relieve the refugee orphans of their suffering.
The Benevolent Society, which supervises Al-Najat society's projects in Jordan, functions under Jordanian laws, he added.
Al-Khaldi hailed the Jordanian Kingdom for participation in different humanitarian campaigns, in addition to taking in Syrian refugees and supporting them since the start of the Syrian war.
He also recognized the role of the Kuwaiti embassy in Jordan in helping and assisting them and other humanitarian societies in distributing the aid where they make their tasks easier.
Al-Najat Society is a non-governmental Kuwaiti organization, established in 1978, where it executes developing and humanitarian projects to assist the needy societies around the world. It started humanitarian projects in Jordan in 2010 and increased them in 2011 when the Syrian crisis broke out. (end) ab.mys
