KUWAIT, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by nine cents to USD 52.17 per barrel Thursday after being at USD 52.08 pb Wednesday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Friday.
The same predicament occurred at the global level yesterday after OPEC announced it might extend its output cut, which began in January.
OPEC and non-OPEC members agreed to reduce global oil production by 1.8 million barrels per day.
The Brent crude went up by 40 cents to USD 56.15 per barrel, the same case with the American light crude, which went up by 30 cents to USD 53.41 pb. (end) osj.gta
