MANAMA, Dec 23 (KUNA) -- Bahrain vehemently deplored the burning by the so-called Islamic State (IS) of two Turkish soldiers alive, billing it as a "terrorist brutal crime" that violates the principles of Islam.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement carried by Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the Kingdom of Bahrain stands side by side with Turkey in its efforts to fight terrorism.
It offered sincere condolences to the Turkish government and people, as well as the victims' families, while calling for more concerted international cooperation against the so-called IS.
It also urged all efforts to be exerted in order to eliminate the scourge of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Earlier Thursday, the IS released a video online which claims to show two Turkish soldiers being burned alive and they were captured in late November. (end) mga.mt
