WASHINGTON, Oct 18 (KUNA) -- The US-led coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) launched 25 more air strikes in Syria and Iraq on Monday, the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in its daily report.
In Syria, 18 air strikes near Abu Kamal, Al Shadaddi, Ayn Issa, Idlib, Marآ’a, and Palmyra destroyed six oil well heads, two oil tanker trucks, an oil pump jack, fighting positions, two vehicles, and engaged several IS tactical units, the report said.
In Iraq, seven air strikes near Al Qaim, Mosul, and Qayyarah "engaged" several tactical units and destroyed 10 mortar systems, five artillery systems, five IS-held buildings, five vehicles, two supply caches, two repeater tower generators, a vehicle-borne improvise explosive device (VBIED) facility, a VBIED, four fighting positions, a mortar system, an oil tanker truck, and a rocket-propelled grenade, the report said.
