ANKARA, March 25 (KUNA) -- The so-called Islamic State (IS) has used chemical weapons against Turkmen in northern Iraq, Turkey's foreign ministry stated Friday.
Medical teams have found chemical substances in 22 Turkmen patients who were being treated in a number of hospitals in the Turkish capital, the ministry said in a statement.
On March 9th, the terrorist group attacked Taza village in Kirkuk province, northern Iraq, with chemical arms and rockets, causing hundreds of Turkmen to sustain critical burns and wounds, it noted.
The ministry expressed strong condemnation of the use of chemical weapons against civilians. (end) rs.ma
