ISLAMABAD, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- At least 12 people were killed and nine others wounded in a suicide bombing in Afghan capital city Kabul on Saturday, said Ministry of Defense (MoD).
The MoD in a statement said the attacker blew himself up at the MoD entrance gate killing at least 12 people and wounding nine others including three Afghan National Army (ANA) service-members.
Kabul police chief, Abdul Rahman Rahimi also confirmed the death toll saying that four women were among those killed in the attack. "He (the suicide bomber) was in a military uniform, I was 15 meters away when the explosion happened. He hid the bomb under his clothes and blew himself up while among the people," he added.
No group has so far claimed the responsibility of the attack.
Earlier in the day, at least 13 people were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up near the governor's office in Afghanistan's eastern Kunar province. (end) sbk.rk
