MOSCOW, Nov 30 (KUNA) --- Russia received Monday the body of Oleg Peshkov, the captain of a Su-24M bomber which was downed by Turkey over Syria last week.
In a press statement, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that fighter jets escorted the plane in-flight in Russia airspace.
Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu and Colonel General Viktor Bondarev, commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, attended the ceremony of receiving the body of the dead pilot, Lieutenant-Colonel Oleg Peshkov, at Chkalovsky airfield.
