BAGHDAD, April 10 (KUNA) -- Eight Iraqi people were killed and 35 others wounded in separate suicide explosions that took place in central and northern Baghdad on Friday, a security source said.
A car bomb parked near Babylon Warwick Hotel at the intersection of Karrada Street, went off, killing three civilians and wounding 18 others, the security source at interior ministry told KUNA, noting that the explosion targeted a religious celebration in a local house of mourning.
In north Baghdad, a suicide bomber, wearing an explosive belt, blew-up himself inside a local restaurant in Mashahda neighborhood, killing five members of the popular crowd forces and wounding 17 others, said the source.
Meanwhile, an Iraqi civilian was killed in an armed attack in southern Baghdad, while two civilians were wounded by an IED blast in an area in southern the capital, it added. (end) mhg.ma
