DOHA, April 3 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti rowing team on Friday came first in the rowing competition, doubles, of the 2nd GCC Beach Games held in Doha.
Rowers Mohammad Al-Sabti and Mohammad Burabei won the gold medal ahead of the UAE, Qatari, Saudi and Bahraini teams.
The winner team used a special boat for sea races, a relatively heavy one, Secretary General of the Kuwait Sea Sport Club Secretary Khaled Mohammed Al-Foudery told KUNA. Experience of Kuwaiti rowers was decisive.
UAE won the silver medal and Bahrain won third place and a bronze.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti team is preparing for Saturday's 500-meter individual competition (skiff). (end) nnd.msa
